Here's what happened in the JUNE edition of #MMLN

The Purple Tape - (A Tribute to Nas)

We're pretty generous over here at LIMM. We wouldn't be ourselves if we didn't keep giving you MORE for LESS, and to that end we've got yet another gift for you ahead of our next instalment. This time we celebrate arguably the best rapper alive Nas (Jigga fans fall back!) with this tribute mix courtesy of  DJ Selecta Maestro...Imagine That!

About Us

#MOREMUSICLESSNOISE is the frontline defence of the music we hold dear.

#MOREMUSICLESSNOISE‘ is the event that does exactly what it says on the tin.

In a time where many die hard, ‘real music’ fans are struggling to find genuine talent and well crafted artistry in the saturated mess that is the 21st century music industry, #MMLN offers a glimmer of hope.

Staying true to our Less is More ethos, the night follows a simple format:

Upon arrival guests are treated to a tribute to a music legend, played by a top DJ. We’ve already paid homage to the likes of Hip Hop legend J Dilla, and Ballad Queen Whitney Houston; and as we believe in celebrating people while they are still alive, artists such as D’Angelo, and Lauryn Hill, have also been celebrated.

Following this our live segment begins. We handpick the best unsigned talent from all genres that the UK has to offer, accompanied by an acoustic or full live band. The #MMLN alumni includes MOBO winning artist Rachel Kerr, former X Factor hopeful Leanne Robinson, sublime wordsmith G.R.E.Ed.S as well as the enchanting Nadine Charles.

To finish the night, our DJ jumps back on to the turntables so you can party with your friends and the star performers, to all our classic and current favourites.

Have a look back at some of the brilliant artists  who’ve already graced our stage.
