Electronic R&B Artist Kyra doubles up with New Single “Stampede”

By December 4, 2019No Comments

Following on from her recent single “Cause & Cure“, gifted West London Electronic R&B artist, Kyra, doubles up with another gripping and unorthodox effort in brand new single “Stampede”

The second release from her forthcoming EP “Xanadu“, she delivers an emotionally charged and powerful performance against an explosive instrumental built on percussion and unruly synths which will literally melt listeners.

Speaking on the track she says:

“Stampede is about someone or something that literally crashes into your life without warning or permission. Its impact is profound, like a stampede. Although at the time I wrote it about being caught up in my feels about a guy, the meaning of the song has completely transformed to become somewhat of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Before I finished the EP I unexpectedly fell pregnant and this little thing barged into my world and literally became the stampede in my life. So it’s an ode to my Son and all the brutally wonderful ways he’s transformed my life for the better, no matter how testing Motherhood has been. He is infact MY Muse. This whole time I was looking for someone and instead that someone found me.”

Aside from the recent releases continuing to garner major support from the likes of Hunger Magazine, EQUATE, amongst others, Kyra has recently concluded a 3-day tour alongside the good people of iLuvLive, impressing all the way and culminating in being handpicked by BBC Introducing as their Futuretense festival headliner held at Southbank Centre on December 13th. (Grab your tickets rapidly, we say).

There’s no doubt that she’s one of the most promising voices from the Capital’s budding R&B scene, with the artistic calibre to match some of our more celebrated names. We’re looking forward to the EP landing and her solidifying her place on the minds and hearts of the general public as her career continues to flourish.
