Just when we were beginning to wonder what had happened to Wretch in the aftermath of his first 2 singles from his recent campaign, “Blackout“, and “Doing OK“….he blind-sides us with this one. “6 Words” sees the rapper turn vocalist as he delivers a heartfelt performance, never minding the critics. The bold move reminds me of a similar one made by Kanye when he dropped “Love Lockdown” but this Wretch record communicates his sincerity that much more. The term “Pure” is being bandied about…I think as far as artistry being reflection of self is concerned, that’s a fitting description.
