West London based Singer/Songwriter, Kyra, first came on to our radar with the release of her esteemed “Bandages EP” back in Nov, 2014. A high level of visual for the EP’s title track and a heavily heartfelt theme exploring her late brother’s tragic battle with cancer, set her apart from the scene’s usual popcentric landscape.
5 years on she’s back to sharing her creativity and following the release of her reimagining of Rosie Gaines’ “Closer Than Close”, which already had our tongues wagging, she’s just unleashed an almighty display of brilliance in the shape of “Cause & Cure”. Co-written with The Garden, the song which sees Kyra’s soothing tones, “depict an intense relationship, both loving and abusive.” is taken from her forthcoming EP Xanadu. It’s already picked up love from BBC 1xtra’s Jamz Supernova amongst others.
The accompanying Luca Perrin directed visual is nothing short of amazing, and once more an independent labour of love that set’s Kyra miles apart from her counterparts.
